Scuba diving in and around the Farne Islands is a real treat for your senses. Shipwrecks enrich the seabed, and inquisitive grey seals come to take a closer look as you dive. Whether you prefer a shallow dive or are prepared to delve that little bit deeper, there's something to suit everyone out at the Farnes. This is a real heaven for those who like scuba diving.
The Farne Islands lie 2 to 3 miles off the Northumberland coast midway between the fishing village of Seahouses and the beautiful Castle of Bamburgh of the UK. There is the most famous Sea Bird Sanctuary in the British Isles they also have a large colony of Atlantic or Grey Seals. You may also have seen grey seals lounging on the rocks at low tide, but follow them as they dive underwater and a whole other world opens up to you.
