Tanzania has many top-class dive spots, with beautiful reefs and schools of tropical fish, just offshore the dreamy beaches and unspoilt landscapes.
The seascape is also fantastic, and some of the dive sites are quite remote and therefore little visited. Diving in Zanzibar, for example, is a unique occasion to discover an exceptional marine life with very rare species of fish. Tumbatu Island has also a lot to offer, not to mention Pemba Island, which is already well-known among divers.
Tanzania has many services for divers and equipment can be easily hired from lodges and dive shops. The tropical climate offers good diving conditions all year-round, although the best time to dive in Tanzania is from September to March, as the visibility may be low during the rainy season (late March to June).
The resorts are of very high quality and you can combine your stay with a live-aboard trip. The international airport of Dar es Salam is probably the best way to get to Tanzania.
