by Scubacrowd

Siquijor has many marine attractions, ranging from stunning dive sites such as Coco Grove and Paliton Wall with rich marine life, mangroves to white sandy beaches that stretches over kilometers along the coast. The reef which surrounds the island offers some of the best scuba diving sites in the Philippines.Siquijor was declared a marine reserve and there are also ten marine sanctuaries around the island, which contain abundant marine life, many species of fish and corals.

The island is a paradise for macro photographers due to the specific species living there, and also a great place for night diving. Siquijor has a large number of accommodation (hotels, resorts, lodges…) and many dive centers and dive shops if you wish to rent equipment or take scuba courses. The province of Siquijor has three main seaports, situated in Larena, Siquijor and Lazi, though Larena is the main entry point to the province, with boat leaving from Dumaguete and Cebu (which are connected to Manila via airports).
