Cabilao Island is one of the smallest islands of thePhilippines, but one of the most attractive for divers. The island is a quiet place, far from mass tourism, and has been made a Marine Park for the pleasure of all divers.
The protected area is a paradise for divers as the island is surrounded by a reef, which falls down to 50 meters, offering many dive sites for open water divers and advanced divers. The Lighthouse and the House Reef are two of the most popular dive sites in the area. South Point, has a spectacular drop-off, Fallen Tree and the Gorgonian Wall are two of the best wall dives in Cabilao. There are two scuba diving resorts in Cabilao which both have dive centers and offer good diving courses, certifications and diving trips. The island is accessible by boat from Sandingan via Bohol. Indeed, Sandingan is connected to Bohol by a bridge and a boat will take you to Cabilao in a very short time (approximately 15 minutes). Note that you will have to pay a reasonable fee to enter the marine park in Cabilao, which is used to keep the area pleasant for everyone.
