Diani is a vibrant, but little paradise on the quiet shores of the Indian Ocean just south of Mombasa. It provides warm hospitable waters, teeming with marine life. Diani Beach is a 10 km long beautiful white sand beach, boarded with palm trees. Diani might be little, but the tourism is well developed. You can find several high class restaurants, hotels and shopping centers.
Miles of unspoilt coral reefs not only protect pure white beaches, but provide habitats for the thousands of varieties of marine life that can be found beneath the clear blue waters. Many times, on the way to dive sites the boat will slow down to play with some dolphins or the gentlest of giants, the whale shark. Also you may see Leatherback, Hawksbill and Green turtles, Grouper, Manta Rays, Octopus, corals and a whole lot more marine life. For wreck diving, the HMS Hildasay, sunk in 1945, and the MV Funguro, sunk in 2002 both awaiting experienced divers in 22 metres of water with incredible visibility.
