Grenada is also known as the "Island of Spice". The island is the world’s main exporter for nutmeg and mace.
But there is more to it, Grenada is known as the 'Wreck Diving Capital of the Caribbean' with 15 shipwrecks to choose from in varying depths, there is wreck diving in Grenada for everyone. The scuba diving in Grenada is some of the best in the Caribbean, and boasts the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean as well as an underwater volcano. Apart from many artificial reefs, this little island has fantastic coral reefs with an abundance of all types of marine life in excellent condition.
The Molinere Bay off Grenada’s west coast is home to Jason de Caire Taylor’s Underwater Sculpture Park which has gained worldwide acclaim for the very unique sculptures that have been created in Molinere Bay which are now becoming home themselves to many species of marine life.
