Sanafir Island (or Sinafar) is situated at the eastern tip of the Straits of Tiran. The southeast part of the island hosts exceptional diving sites with wall, coral reefs, canyons covered with multicolor soft corals, and caves but many dives sites are yet to be discovered.
Underwater, you will encounter ancient amphora’s from the Greek and the Roman empires as well as a stunning marine life.
The advantage of diving in Sinafar Island is that it is not a much frequented site, therefore marine animals are not used to divers and are quite curious about them. Also, the colourful and outstanding dive spots are adapted for all levels with easy and difficult dives as well as deep and shallow ones.
The island is best accessed by live-aboard boats from Sharm El Sheikh and sometimes by day boats, although it is quite rare. So if you want to explore the Red Sea and dive unique spots, make sure to stop by Sanafir.
